LG's latest Black Label mobile phone

When it comes to LG Mobile and design, the Prada phones come to mind immediately for most people. But let's not forget the Black Label series which started with the Chocolate phone and was followed by the LG Shine. Pictures of the third handset in that series have now been revealed and, like the other two, it's a slider.

Though no official name has been given, this slider looks slimmer than the previous models. Pictures seem to suggest a mix of carbon fiber and leather in its finish, with a 5-megapixel camera on its back. According to Aving , this model will be officially announced for Europe on April 24 and reportedly for the rest of the world thereafter. We have contacted LG Asia for confirmation and are awaiting a response.

Bom .. o meu veio com um cartão de 512MB, mas como eu já tinha o de 1gb do outro celular .. passei pra ele. Como todo celular “moderninho” o cartão de memória é reconhecido automaticamente como um pendrive, sendo assim faremos todo o procedimento por ele !.

With Nokia unveiling their new Xseries phones at Nokia World and Sony Ericsson making their XPERIA X2 official already, Motorola has decided to finally grab whatever is left of the limelight and announce their new iDEN phone, the Motorola Debut i856.

Unlike their previous iDEN offering, the Clutch i465, the Motorola Debut doesn’t come with a QWERTY keypad, but it is, however, the company’s first iDEN slider phone. The Motorola Debut features a 2.2-inch TFT display, 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth, GPS, voice activated dialing, IM capabilities, and supports up to 8GB microSD card capacities. Motorola Droid – Verizon (Review)

Last week we unboxed the upcoming Motorola Droid for Verizon Wireless and now it is my privilege to give you a full review. I am too fascinated by new technology to ignore the new wave of smart phones – it’s just that I’ve regretted going in that direction in the past. Even the ever-popular Apple iPhone, the king of the smart phone, has failed to meet my expectations in the past. My first generation iPhone lacked basic features like MMS, a removable battery, and video recording. The recent stream of so-called “iPhone-Killers” created by competitors such as HTC, LG, Motorola, and Samsung have tried to improve on Apple’s shortcomings. Unfortunately, they have failed produce a superior product and experience Apple’s success.

If there is anything you should take from that last paragraph, it should be that I am hypercritical when it comes to reviewing smart phones because I have yet to experience the recipe for a so-called “iPhone-Killer”. So when I say that the Motorola Droid is my new favorite phone, you can take me seriously. Yes, yes, all of the smart phones in this generation do just about everything short of cooking for you. But the Droid just does it better with Motorola’s feature-packed hardware, Android’s new open source operating system, and Verizon’s high quality network. I’ll explain.

Con una pantalla TFT de 2.5 pulgadas con resolución QVGA de 320 × 240 píxeles, el teléfono está enfocado al público profesional, como la mayoría de los que disponen de teclado QWERTY, aunque incluye algunas funcionalidades multimedia interesantes, pero no es desde luego en lo que más destaca.

El Motorola MOTO QA30 funciona con conectividad CDMA y dispone de acceso a la red a alta velocidad a través de EVDO. Lo aprovecha su navegador, los programas de correo electrónico y mensajería instantánea y una aplicación para acceder a Facebook. A pesar de lo que pueda parecer no se trata de un smartphone y su sistema operativo es un desarrollo propio de Motorola.

El MOTO QA30 dispone de un lector de tarjetas de memoria MicroSD que soporta hasta 32 GB y ofrece una salida de auriculares de 3.5 milímetros y conectividad Bluetooth con soporte para música en estéreo. La cámara, en cambio, se queda algo más corta con solo 2 megapíxeles de resolución sin autofoco, pero que de seguro te gustará mucho.

The MOTO Q q9 runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 and Motorola’s Good Mobile Messaging technology. Motorola CLIQ is the newest Android phone. It is made by Motorola and will be available on the T-Mobile network. Some of the key features include 3G/HSDPA connectivity, 5MP camera, and of course GPS receiver. Inside the Motorola Droid,

"The Droid makes a big leap in internal performance. Compared with its rather sluggish Android predecessors," CNET Reviews said, citing the speed at which the Droid opens applications and menus and scrolls through lists and switches display screens.

"We're really pumped to see all the industry excitement it's created," said Jeff Dougan, the OMAP 3 product marketing manager at Texas Instruments, which supplies the OMAP 3430 processor that powers the Droid. "This is the first handset that truly realizes the full potential of Android," he said, referring to Google's Android 2.0 operating system that runs on the Droid phone.

The TI processor, like the one in the iPhone, is based on an a new architecture called Cortex-A8 from U.K.-based chip design house ARM, whose wide variety of chips populate most of the world's cell phones. Dougan says most smartphones currently on the market use an older, lower-performance ARM architecture than the Cortex-A8--with the exception of the Palm Pre, which opted for the newer TI chip. The Cortex-A8 provides a "two to three times performance boost" over older architectures, according to Dougan.

Max Baron, an analyst at Microprocessor Report, says the chips in the Droid and the iPhone (see not below) are so alike that differences are more dependent on the operating systems the two chips use and how successfully each phone maker optimizes the OS. "With chips that have near-similar specs, the optimum OS and the look-and-feel of the user interface may make or break the product," Baron said.

THE WHIZ KID SPEAKS: History repeats itself… and in the case of Samsung it keeps on happening so many times. LOL. Frankly I don’t understand whats the point in launching a phone which is similar to many that were launched three years ago again. I mean is it so tough for Sammy to move on?? Anyways all my lame wisecracks aside let’s move ahead with the review of this one…

Razzle-Dazzle: This one is BAH… again a slider… nothing new. No no, I aint saying this one is unattractive but then it’s like u get bored of seeing the same thing again n again. Anyways, this is a sleek silver one with a smooth slider mechanism. At 4.06 inches by 1.93 inches by 0.88 inch and weighing 3.28 ounces this one easily slips into the pocket.

Its got a 2.25 inch display with support for 262,000 colours and a resolution of 320×240 pixels. As such there isn’t any real drawback with the display, it’s a pretty much average plain jane display. Right below the display we have a navigation toggle, the talk and end buttons along with the clear key and two soft keys on each side of the navigation toggle. Pushing the slider reveals the keypad. The buttons on the keypad are pretty much flat and don’t offer much hindrance while dialing. They are pretty much well spaced, but speed texters might face a few problems getting used to the keypad.

Samsung SCH-u650

Word has been made official that a brand new slider from Samsung, entitled the Sway SCH-u650, will make its way to Verizon.

The Samsung SCH-u650 Sway will be a typical run-of-the-mill slider, clocking in at 0.47-inches thick and sporting a 2.2-inch display. Also featured on the phone is a 2MP camera along with a bunch of preinstalled software like IM, a personal organizer, and a web browser. The phone’s battery at full juice is expected to pump out 270 minutes of standard talk-time, or 312 hours of standby.

Samsung’s new slider u650 will be available on Verizon come October 14th for $69.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, with a 2 year contract of course.
