Motorola's range of slimline handsets isn't shy about appearing in various bright colours, so seeing one that is blood red probably won't be much of a surprise. But Motorola has done A Good Thing with the SLVR L7 RED because while you make calls, money goes to a good cause.
Specifically, the SLVR L7 RED supports the RED campaign, which was launched by Bono earlier this year. It in turn supports the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa, and you can learn more at the Web site.
What this means in terms of hard cash is that when you take out your contract £10 goes immediately into the Global Fund. Then, as you make calls, 5 percent of your spend is put into the Fund by your network operator. My review handset came from O2, but you can get this handset from other operators and the same conditions apply.
