An educational pilot program with the South African Government’s Department of Educatioon and the Mindset Network which is a non-profit organization is being started by nokia
The program called M4Girls intends to improve math scores by putting Nokia 6300 cell phones preloaded with educational software into the hands of some 10th graders.
Dealing to the press release, Nokia and Mindset Network are in the progress of adapting the program to include English and information technology. “The program supports the South African Department of Education’s drive to develop proficiency in key subjects like maths amongst students from historically nuisance backgrounds, and in this subject, particular girls who tend to be the worst performers.”
