Sony Ericsson does not have much business smartphones to its forte. After the P990i, it has launched only M600i and P1i for business users. The P1i features improved form factor and is based on the UIQ 3.1, which means support from developers across the world. The phones' appeal is its black-and silver-coloured body. With its hand-writing recognition feature and a 'QWERTY' keypad, typing messages on the P1i is a breeze despite the fact that all its keys are designed for two functions. In fact, far from being off-putting, we found this design quite innovative. For connectivity, the Pli features 3G, Bluetooth, A2Dp, Infrared, USB and WLAN. The Pli is A2DP Bluetooth compliant and hence can be connected to a wireless stereo handset for music playback. It also supports video calls.
